Always a Woman

Posted by revolverroach at 04:41 AM on September 2, 2005.

I've been seeing this girl... woman... hmmm...

Though she's more than ten year my senior, she never fails to make me feel older than her. For example, when she spots a roach she turns into a frightened little girl who runs to me, hides behind my shoulder and waits for me to kill it. I thought she was just play-acting at first, but one time she actually jumped onto a chair and almost cried. Apparently her phobia of roaches is almost clinical level. She still flinches when I mention my on-line handle.

And she loves cartoons (not that I'm complaining, I love 'em too) She spent an hour supervising me as I drew the cast of Spongebob Squarepants, pinching my shoulder whenever she didn't like the way it was turning out. "Noooo! Mister Crabs has stumpy legs!!" she'd shout in my ear as her fingers trap a chunk of my skin in a vice-grip.

Last night we went to a party and she kept teasing me about my growing hair. "Cute ng hair mo. Parang grass." Which made me really self-concious. Well... at least for the first thirty minutes. After that, some guy passed out on the lawn and a bf-gf couple had a big loud fight. A couple of drinks later I didn't have a care in the world.

Here's a picture of me while I was staggering against the wall, waiting to get into the bathroom. Notice the reddish skin tinge, a sign that I was pretty tanked up. Ahhh, that was a great night.

Anyhoo, the sun's almost up... I'm off to bed

Gig at Freedom Bar on the 9th

MHS plays at Freedom Bar this September 9. The
event, dubbed as "Rock, Baby, Rock!" happens at
9:00 p.m and features the following bands:

Hummingbirds
Else_Moisture
Free Spirits
No Need To Argue
Hedztart
Langib
Zoo

and the following guest artists: 13 Needles and Juana.

Entrance is as always: a hundred clams gets you
in plus a free beer and good old-fashioned rock n'
roll. Let me know if you want to buy tickets, or
just go there on the day itself and harass the
people at the gate.

This came out like an eighties American high school event poster. -sniff- I'm so proud. If only it weren't so late I'd complete it with a psychedelic background.
